Babette Wyckaert

Babette Wyckaert is a PhD-researcher with a background in Architecture and Urban Planning (KU Leuven 2015, 2017), her research concerns housing trajectories of refugees in Flanders (northern part of Belgium). Following newly arriving refugees within the initiatives of a number of NGOs in smaller municipalities and medium-sized towns, she studies the way in which refugees’ ways of home-making (acces to housing, socio- spatial relations, networks) affect their socio-spatial integration by using refugees’ housing pathways as an indicator.
