Emma Volckaert

Emma Volckaert studied Journalism (Artevelde University College Ghent, 2011) and European Politics (University of Ghent, 2013). She is working as a PhD-student on the housing, environmental and care situation of older people in Flanders. The PhD is based on several research projects: moving to the coastal area in later life; ageing in rural areas; and ageing in urban and suburban areas. She also worked on projects concerning housing preferences and suburbanization; and housing for persons with disabilities.
